All these questions help to determine what Permanent Makeup treatment or treatments would be most beneficial for you.
Choosing your colours
Once we have discussed treatments, we get to move onto the more fun side of your consultation — choosing your colours.
Finding that perfect brow colour that complements you the most. Exploring all the different shades of pigments, ranging from reds, pinks and nudes for your lips. It's almost as if you get to customise yourself.
The patch test
After discussing treatments and pigments we move on to the necessary side of your appointment — your patch test.
Having your patch test is essential for your treatment to go ahead, as this helps determine whether you're allergic to the pigment or products. It's a quick small scratch, or most people don't feel anything at all.
What does the patch test entail? Using a microlet we gently pierce the skin on the inside of your arm to allow a tiny spot of blood to appear. Using a cotton bud we rub a small amount of ink over the area, which allows the ink to sit in the skin before it heals over.
The numbing glide products are simply tested by applying a small amount of product in the crease of your arm.
Your patch test must be completed at least 12 hours before your treatment. This allows enough time for us to see if a reaction will appear.
No reaction — you're all set!
But if a reaction was to occur, we wouldn't be able to follow through with the treatment.
Asking questions
Your consultation should help you understand the process and have confidence before any treatment takes place. It will allow you plenty of time to ask as many questions as you like, or discuss any worries you're not sure about.
Please note: if you are travelling from a few hours away, it would be wise to allow two days for the full process. Day one for your consultation and patch test, day two for your first treatment to commence.
